Mulches and ground covers are terms that are used interchangeably to describe any non-living material that covers the ground. As simple as that sounds, there are many advantages to mulching your beds. In addition, there are many products that can be used for mulch including bark, compost and decorative rock.
Depending on the type of mulch you choose, an effective weed barrier can be established by installing landscape fabric beneath your mulching material.
Save time by having us install your mulch with our Bark Blowing Service. For most new applications 2-4" of mulch or ground cover is all you need. To freshen existing bed, 1-2" is usually plenty.
