WALP is a professional association for landscape, irrigation, and maintenance contractors with members throughout the state. For a list of qualified contractors in your area, please visit our website at www.walp.org.
The Washington Association of Landscape Professionals is a non-profit organization of landscape professionals dedicated to continually improving the standards of the landscape industry in this state.
Our contractor members reflect the diversity of our industry. Some specialize in landscape construction - designing and building decks, water features, landscape lighting and garden structures; planting plants and turf grass; installing irrigation systems; building playfields and golf courses. Others specialize in ground maintenance, the care of lawns, trees and shrubs - including mowing, pruning, fertilizing, and control of insect and plant disease. Seasonal color plantings, water auditing and irrigation system maintenance and repair may also be included. Some of our members also do interiorscaping - planting and care of indoor plants in offices and malls.
WALP member contractors are licensed and bonded with the state of Washington. Many WALP contractors have Certified Landscape Technicians on staff. These "CLT"s have have passed rigorous field tests and are extremely well qualified in their field of expertise - installation, grounds maintenance, and irrigation.
